Your brain isn't broken.
It just needs the right guide.
Tampa's ADHD-CCSP certified therapist. Specialized adult ADHD therapy for diagnosis, late discovery, ADHD + anxiety, and women who've been masking for years.
What is an ADHD-CCSP, and why does it matter for your care?
The ADHD Certified Specialist Practitioner credential represents advanced, specialized training in ADHD that goes far beyond general therapy licensure.
Most therapists learn about ADHD as one of many conditions covered in their graduate training. An ADHD-CCSP has completed hundreds of additional hours focused specifically on how ADHD presents in adults, how it intersects with anxiety and depression, and which interventions actually work for the ADHD brain.
In Tampa and the greater Tampa Bay area, very few licensed therapists hold this credential. If you've felt misunderstood by previous providers, or received generic advice that didn't account for how your brain actually works, this matters.

ADHD therapy tailored to your life
ADHD looks different for every person. Here are the people I most often work with.
Women Newly Diagnosed with ADHD
ADHD in women is chronically underdiagnosed. Many women receive a diagnosis in their 30s or 40s and feel a mix of relief and grief. Therapy provides space to process that, build new strategies, and release years of self-blame.
Adults Managing ADHD at Work
Procrastination, time blindness, overwhelm, and difficulty prioritizing aren't moral failures. They're ADHD. We work on practical executive function strategies that actually account for how your brain operates.
Couples Affected by ADHD
ADHD can create a painful imbalance in relationships: one partner overwhelmed, the other frustrated. Couples therapy that understands ADHD dynamics can transform this pattern into mutual understanding.
ADHD + Anxiety
ADHD and anxiety frequently co-occur. Unmanaged ADHD often drives secondary anxiety: the constant worry about forgetting things, missing deadlines, or disappointing others. I treat both, together.
Exploring an ADHD Diagnosis
You don't need a formal diagnosis to start. Many people come wondering if ADHD explains lifelong patterns. We explore together, and I can coordinate with prescribers if formal assessment is the right next step.
Florida Residents Statewide
All initial sessions are virtual. ADHD-specialized therapy doesn't have to be in your neighborhood. You can access certified ADHD support from anywhere in Florida.
"I finally feel like my therapist actually gets ADHD. Not just from a textbook, but from real clinical experience. Andrea helped me stop fighting my brain and start working with it."
What working with an ADHD specialist actually looks like
ADHD therapy works best when it has structure — which is exactly what most ADHD brains struggle to create on their own. That structure starts before your first full session. Adult ADHD therapy in Tampa begins with a thorough assessment: your history going back to childhood, how symptoms show up at work and at home, what you've already tried, and what else might be in the picture. Anxiety, depression, and sleep problems can mimic or mask ADHD, so getting the full picture first means the plan that follows actually fits.
Therapy itself is not a formal diagnostic evaluation, and Andrea does not prescribe medication — but you don't have to navigate those steps alone. If formal testing or a medication evaluation makes sense, she coordinates directly with psychiatrists and prescribers so the clinical picture travels with you instead of starting over.
How telehealth sessions work
Sessions happen over a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform — no software to install, just a private link before each appointment. All you need is a laptop or phone, a reasonably private spot, and 50 minutes. Telehealth is available to adults anywhere in Florida, from Miami to Jacksonville to the Panhandle, and in-person sessions in Tampa are available for established clients. Many clients find virtual sessions are actually easier to keep with an ADHD brain: no commute to derail the day, no waiting room, and appointment reminders built in.
Insurance and fees, without the guesswork
Andrea is in-network with Aetna, Cigna, Florida Blue, Oxford, Oscar, and UnitedHealthcare/Optum — most clients pay only their plan's copay for ADHD therapy. Self-pay rates are $175 for individual sessions and $200 for couples sessions. Not sure what your plan covers? Ask when you reach out and we'll help you check your telehealth mental-health benefits before your first appointment. See the insurance & fees page for details.
